Since
1998, I have been involved with retired Greyhound rescue. Greyhound Options
is a non-profit organization out of WMASS who takes in and fosters retired
Greyhounds who have finished their racing career. My first Grey was DeNiro,
a sweet, timid chocolate brown brindle boy who is now 7 years old and still
as quirky as the first day I got him. He's always my best friend no matter
what my mood is like. He is also a bed-hog and truly loves my couch. Posie
came into my life as a foster, but within two days, she wormed her way into
my heart and became my little girl. She helped DeNiro's energy blossom and
made me realize that a 7 year old dog doesn't always act her age. She's 11
now and the years are catching up with her, but she is still quite the character.
I am a foster dad and a member of the Board of Directors and I help out at
numerous outdoor/indoor events. Take a look at some of the beauties that have
passed over my door and support your local Greyhound rescue group.
